Biosecurity NZ (which is part of the Ministry of Primary Industries) and the New Zealand Customs Service provide border protection services at New Zealand’s international airports. Passengers travelling through the airports will experience their services.

Both agencies are funded by airlines and their passengers via the Border Clearance Levy, which recovers the border processing costs of Biosecurity New Zealand  and NZ Customs.
