Civil Aviation Authority

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is the agency that oversees aviation safety and the rules that underpin this. It is the regulator for aviation security.
It recovers its costs through charges to users of the aviation system, including airline passengers. CAA carries out periodic pricing reviews, usually every three years, and occasionally updates its charging methodology.

Submissions on this page relate to the CAA’s proposals to update its pricing framework and passenger charges.
